This summer we were lucky enough to escape to the South of France, where we stayed at the most beautiful eco treehouse resort. Our gorgeous host, Aina, made the most spectacular breakfasts for us each day by the pool and every morning was such a treat. The boys loved the fresh boiled eggs and warm croissants and I was blown away by the selection of gluten free breads, vegan patés and homemade jams and spreads.
This particular homemade 'spread' is not really a spread, because it is not a paste in texture. It's more like a mixture or a topper. It is, however, amazing on toast, but is also fantastic sprinkled on top of yoghurt or added on top of granola for an extra taste explosion.
It's tangy and sweet at the same time. Very decadent tasting and probably not overly great for your waistline, but a little spoonful each morning is sure to raise a big smile as you prepare for your day!!
